Dubai will host the 35th edition of the Elets World Education Summit (WES) on February 4 and 5, 2026, marking the return of one of the world’s most influential global platforms dedicated to education innovation, policy dialogue, and international collaboration.
The two-day summit will welcome a record number of senior education leaders, policymakers, innovators, and experts from around the world, who will gather to discuss the latest developments in education, the challenges facing the sector today, and future-ready solutions for global learning systems.
Phoebe Wasfi, Principal of Philopateer Christian College PCC , Selected as Canada’s Sole Representative and Featured Speaker
As part of this prestigious global gathering, Phoebe Wasfi, Principal of Philopateer School, will participate in the summit’s official program. Wasfi has been selected as the sole representative from Canada to showcase institutional excellence in education, following a rigorous and highly selective evaluation process conducted by the summit’s organizing committee.
In recognition of her leadership and impact, the organizers have also decided to present Phoebe Wasfi with a special award, in addition to naming her as a featured speaker at the conference, which attracts hundreds of participants from across the globe.
Wasfi’s selection comes in recognition of her sustained efforts in advancing Philopateer School as a distinguished Canadian educational institution with strong Egyptian roots and growing international recognition. Through strategic investment in teachers, facilities, students, and families, Philopateer has achieved a level of excellence that has led top Canadian and international universities to actively compete for its graduates.
Speaking to Hawa Toronto, Wasfi said that one of her long-term aspirations is for Philopateer to expand across multiple Arab and international capitals. She noted that this vision is already underway, with an existing branch in Ottawa, as well as a growing online campus serving students from Egypt and around the world.
